The Department of Women’s Ministry at Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, Syracuse is purposed to uphold, encourage, and challenge women in their daily walk as disciples of Jesus Christ and as members of His world church. More specifically, our mission is one that is common to all Christians—to lift up Christ in the church and in the world. Thus, the Women’s Ministry seeks to assess the needs of women in the local church and community, by utilizing surveys and interviews and in counsel with the pastor and church leaders. As well, we brainstorm, develop strategies, and work together with other ministries in the church in order to sponsor programs and activities tailored to the needs of women. Accordingly, we plan and implement a variety of annual activities (e.g., Women’s Day), weekly small support groups, and myriad service activities. We invite you to stay abreast of our programs through our monthly printed church bulletin and also the church website.
The core focus of The Brotherhood Empowerment Project, under the leadership of Pastor Clayton Baker and Deacon Clinton Jackson, is to assist men with the many issues that we face in our journey with the Lord, our families, and our communities. We seek to uplift one another through the study of the Word of God in an informal and inviting setting. Importantly, we aim to serve the community as well, for example through the church Food Bank and also through providing food to the local men’s shelter. We encourage participants in the ministry to contribute to all of the ministries in the church, including the children’s ministry as a way of providing strong role models to our youth.(READ MORE)
